Faiza Yousuf is a Technologist with over 8 years of experience in Software Quality, Requirement Engineering and Project Management. She is a serial entrepreneur and is currently running a business consultation company with the focus on helping small businesses (especially Women led) to embrace technology. Another recent project is a community building effort by her where she is working to unite all the Women in Technology to come together and start changing the narrative around Women Technologists in Pakistan. She started with a Facebook group and within few months, the community now have over 3800 members from all over Pakistan. It’s a Women only community so that women can talk freely about issues, seek advice and opportunities, find mentors and form collaborations with each other. The goal of this community is to start an open dialogue and devise strategies for a more diversified and accepting work environment for women in Pakistan.
Faiza is a graduate and post graduate from NED University and completed a World Bank funded entrepreneurship program called WomenXPakistan. She recently worked as an IT skills trainer for a USAID program with focus on Gender Equity and Women Empowerment. She teaches technology to Computer Science undergraduates and loves to read and write.
